Sue Berg's domestic objects are made under the brand name BarronvonBerg Industrial. Thematically she follows two lines of thought: form follows function and bring the value of each piece of wood to light by accentuating its inherent beauty.
She wishes to elevate the everyday object to an artform, focusing on design and function rather than conventional archetypes. She is influenced by Bauhaus design, Frank LLoyd Wright, the Arts and Crafts Movement, Victorian, early American and Medieval construction methods. She is looking for clear, logical lines that reinforce the shape of the final object. This focus on geometric lines and asymmetry can be seen through each piece she creates. Not one to embellish, each design decision is based on purpose.
